Today Is Saturday Hat pattern

This is a really simple hat pattern that can easily be completed in a day.

(I'm really ill at the moment. I'll upload some better pictures when I feel (look) better. =D)

Yarn: Gjestal Sportsragg 1 x 50g balls, although the hat used about 75g of this particular yarn.
Needles: 4mm circular or DPNs, 5mm circular + 5mm DPN.

With 4mm needles, cast on 88 stitches. Join work and K2, P2 until work measures 6-7cms (about 12-14 rounds/rows.

Switch to 5mm needles and knit until work measures 22cms.
Place marker and start to work the crown. Switch to double pointed needles when necessary.

R1: *K2tog, K3. Repeat from * to the marker.
Knit the second round and every other round.
R3: *K2tog, K2.
R5: *K2tog, K1.

R7: *K2tog.
R8: Knit.
Repeat these two rounds (K2tog round followed by a Knit round) until there are approximately 10 stitches left.

Cut yarn leaving a tail of about 15-20cm.
Thread onto a tapestry or darning needle.
Slip the stitches off the knitting needle onto the tapestry/darning needle.
Pull tight to close the hole and sew or weave in the end, and any other ends that need tidying up.
