Baby Pointed Beanie pattern

This is the basic pattern for a simple baby hat which will fit most babies from 1-3.
I could stretch it onto my head, and my head's too big to fit into any average milliners hat! The finished diametre at the rim is 17cms.

Alternate between a knit round and a K2tog round until 6 stitches remain.
Knit these 6 stitches on 3 needles (3 stitches on each of 2 of the needles, one needle to work with) for 5 rows.
Cut yarn and use a darning/tapestry needle to thread through loops. Pull tight and weave in ends.

** The stripe is two rows of the contrasting colour and two rows of the main colour. You can doo any variation youy like here.
Also, this colour change jog fix trick is invaluable!
